TAGE 01 Abroad - New Delhi. Reception at the airport by our representative. After refreshing yourself, proceed by car to Fort Nalagarh (12th century), a beautiful Heritage Forthotel inside a village but on top of a hill. 307km of very good road. Arrival by about 10am, for breakfast. Overnight.
TAGE 02 Nalagarh - Manali (250km). After B'fast drive to Manali through beautiful forests of pine & cedar. Arrival late evening at Solang Valley Resort, by the side of river Beas, in the Solang Valley. Overnight.
TAGE 03 Manali. Full Day sightseeing to include visit to Hadimba Temples, built in 1553 like a Buddhist Pagoda. In May the 'Doongri' festival is held by hill women, when sacrifices are carried out. Nehru Kund & Roerich Art Gallery. Overnight.
TAGE 04 Manali - Manikaran - Dharamsala (270km). After B'fast, leave at 8.00am. On way to Dharamsala, visit Manikaran famous for the hot springs & a Sikh temple. Arrival late evening at Dharamsala. Overnight in Glenmore Cottages/Anupam Resorts.


TAGE 05 Dharamsala. Full day sight seeing to include visit to Mcleod Ganj, Dalai Lamas place of residence & Tebetan Govt. in exile; Norbulinka Institute, Dolmaling Nunnery. Overnight.
TAGE 06 Dharamsala - Dalhousie (180km). Leave early after B'fast for Dalhousie. Overnight in Hotel Shangrila/Alps Resorts.
TAGE 07 Dalhousie - Patnitop or Batote (210km). Take your B'fast & leave for Patnitop/Batote. Arrival early evening, transfer to Forest Rest House/Hotel.
TAGE 08 Patnitop/Batote - Srinagar (350km). After an early B'fast at 8:am leave for Srinagar. Arrival early evening & transfer to a Houseboat on Dal Lake. Dinner & overnight in Houseboat. Our representative will look after you.
TAGE 09 Srinagar. After B'fast, visit the famous Mughal Gardens, built by emperor Jehangir in 1616. Shahjehan built the beautiful buildings. Also visit Shankracharya Temple, believed to be built in 2nd century BC by Asoka's son. Come back to Dal Lake for a Shikara ride. Dinner & overnight in houseboat.  
TAGE 10 Srinagar - Gulmarg (50km). After B'fast, drive to Gulmarg best known for the ski slopes. From surrounding vantage points you can see the entire valley of Kashmir. You may visit Khilanmarg (5km) by horses or a cable car. Dinner & overnight at Hotel Gulmarg.
TAGE 11 Gulmarg - Kargil (245km). Overnight in Hotel Zozila. You shall pass by Drass, the world's coldest region & scene of bitter fighting between India & Pakistan in 2001. You will see the Pakistan Army bunkers through your binoculars - but mercifully the shelling has stopped & peace has arrived!
TAGE 12 Kargil - Leh (231km). Drive to Leh. Overnight at Hotel Dragon.
TAGE 13 Leh. Complete relaxation. You will also go to the SDM's office & take your inner line permits. Our representative in Leh will help you in getting the permits. These are necessary for all travellers who wish to go to Tabo & Kalpa regions.
TAGE 14 Leh. Full day sightseeing to Shey, Thiksey & Hemis monasteries. Overnight in Hotel Dragon.

 

 

TAGE 15 Leh - Keylong (372km). Take your packed B'fast & leave for Keylong at 6:00am. Arrival & overnight at Hotel Chandra Bagha, Keylong. This is what is called the Himalayan Jeep safari, so very popular with the English & Germans alike. The road takes you over the highest passes in the world like the Tang-lang-la (5328mtr.) & Baralacha-la (4883mtrs.), with breathtaking views of Glaciers & rugged mountains.  
TAGE 16 Keylong - Kaza (175km/8hrs/12000ft.). Take a packed B'fast & leave for Kaza at 6:00am. The road carries you over the Kunzum Pass (4551mtrs). Geologically & archeologically, Kaza is a living museum. The mountains are devoid of any vegetation & erosion by wind, sun & snow over thousands of years has laid the rocks bare. The rugged & rocky mountain slopes sweep down to the riverbeds giving the landscape a moon-like appearance. You may drive to Chandratal Lake. The road takes you to about 02km of the lake, further on you trek, return to your car & drive to Kaza. Overnight in Kaza HPTDC hotel.  
TAGE 17 Kaza. After B'fast, checkout & visit Ki & Kibber monasteries. Ki Gompa is the largest in the valley & perched up a very steep mountain. Fine murals & a valuable collection of Kangyur, ancient Buddhist texts are its attractions. No photography is allowed inside. Ki has a Buddhist festival in June & July. The Gompa was partially damaged by an earthquake but has been restored. It also houses the largest number of Buddhist monks & nuns.
TAGE 18 Kaza - Sangla (227km/9hrs./9000'). After an early B'fast, leave for Sangla at 7:00am. Overnight at either a luxury campsite in the middle of the valley or Hotel Monal.
TAGE 19 Sangla is a small village, surrounded by high mountains & well known for trout fishing. The Kinner Kailash mountain peak tower over Sangla valley. After a leisurely B'fast, proceed to the Batseri village. Great hill architecture. The local 'devta' temple is a must see. Afternoon free for individual activities. Dinner & overnight.
TAGE 20 Sangla - Shimla (240km/8hrs). After B'fast, leave for Shimla The road passes through some breathtaking scenery & very high mountains & a furious Satluj river. It is all awe inspiring - Mother Nature at it's glorious best! Arrival late evening. Overnight & dinner in Hotel Comber mere/Holiday Home.
TAGE 21 Shimla. Full day sightseeing to include visit to The Vice regal Lodge (1888), built for Lord Duffrin & designed by Henry Irwin + Capt. HH Cole in an Elizabethan or English Renaissance Style; The Christ Church (1844), the oldest in India, designed by Col. JT Boileau & consecrated in 1857 & later extended with the addition of a clock + porch. Lockwood Kipling, father of Rudyard, designed the original chancel window. Walking on the Mall, you come to the library, designed by James Ransome. All the walks are lined with magnificent pines & cedars, giving a beautifully fresh scent to the air.
TAGE 22 Shimla - Ramgarh Fort via Chail (75km). After B'fast, leave for Shimla, via Chail. Chail is a few hundred feet above Shimla & a thickly forested hamlet. Maharaja of Patiala created it, after he was expelled from Shimla in 1893, on account of "getting overexcited". The highest cricket ground (2444m) is also built here. You can see the Choor Chandni peak from one side of the cricket field. Overnight at Fort Ramgarh.
TAGE 23 Ramgarh Fort - New Delhi. Transfer to International airport after dinner & refreshing yourself.
TAGE 24 Midnight flight to next destination.
